REFLECTION: Why I Chose This Topic

Throughout this research paper, I enjoyed being able to incorporate my favorite fictional heroes. I learned how to make these kinds of connections even though they weren't really that complex. Since this assignment started, I have gained a better sense of an argumentative essay versus an exploratory one. My inquiry essay does have two viewpoints to it; however, I don't think that I'm making too much of an argument in it. I feel like I explored different situations about the superheroes that so many love. It makes you wonder who is less evil instead of who is good. I chose the subject of vigilantism because it questions our superego's internalized, moral standards. Many of these cases can go both ways, and it's sometimes hard to pick a side.
